What we would collect, and why

This site is a demonstration build. It collects no household data, sets no advertising identifier and runs no measurement. The statement below describes what the addressable advertising layer would collect if the network were operating, so that the commitment is on the record before anything is switched on rather than after.

Personal data, stated plainly

Household-level viewing data is regulated personal data. A pseudonymous household identifier tied to a postcode and a viewing history identifies a household. It is treated as personal data regardless of the absence of a name.

Disclosure

Collection, basis, retention, opt-out

What would be collected
A pseudonymous household or device identifier, the postcode of the receiver, tune-in events on the RAP TRENDS services, segment memberships derived from those events, and the consent state itself.
What would never be collected
Name, address, payment data, content viewed outside the RAP TRENDS services, and any special-category data. Segments are never derived from race, ethnicity, health, religion or sexual orientation, and never from a proxy for them.
Why it is personal data
Household-level viewing data is regulated personal data. A pseudonymous identifier tied to a postcode and a viewing history identifies a household, and it is treated as personal data regardless of the absence of a name.
Lawful basis
Consent, captured at the receiver before any targeting occurs. Delivery of programming and of an untargeted ad rests on the performance of the service and never on consent.
Retention
Household-level placement records are kept for 30 days and then deleted. Aggregate, non-identifying counts may be kept longer for billing and reconciliation.
How a household opts out
From the receiver settings menu or at raptrends.com/privacy. The household reverts to untargeted delivery within one broadcast day; it continues to receive programming and advertising exactly as before, without targeting.
Explainability
Every placement records the segment the household was placed in and the category rules evaluated, so a decision can be explained after the fact.

Retention

Household-level placement records are kept for 30 days and then deleted. Aggregate counts that identify nobody may be kept longer for billing.

Opt out

Opt out from the receiver settings menu or at raptrends.com/privacy; the household reverts to untargeted delivery within one broadcast day.
